Stanley Andrew Jackson is a storyteller whose work spans continents, cultures, and classical traditions.
Storytelling is at the heart of who he is. Whether through Shakespeare, contemporary drama, film, television, or digital media, he believes stories can build bridges—between people, cultures, and generations. He is drawn to work that invites reflection, that challenges, heals, and makes room for joy. As a performer, he brings presence, precision, and purpose to every role, rooted in the belief that storytelling can be both personal and transformative.
Born in New Orleans and raised in Houston, Stanley earned his BFA in Acting from Howard University and his MA in Classical Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. His training and career have taken him to stages around the world, including performances in London, and tours in New Zealand and Australia with the acclaimed Pop-up Globe Shakespeare Company.
In the U.S., Stanley has brought his talent to theaters nationwide, including the Alley Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, A Noise Within Theatre Company, the Wallis Annenberg Center, Stages, and Ensemble Theatre Houston. Off-Broadway, he’s worked on The Refuge Plays at Roundabout Theatre Company.
He recently starred in the Huntington Theatre Company’s production of Toni Stone, and currently plays the leading role of Kenneth in Primary Trust at the Alley Theatre. In addition to his work on stage, Stanley is expanding his storytelling into film, television, and new media, always seeking projects that resonate with honesty, humanity, and heart.
Now based in New York, Stanley continues to bring depth, humor, and soul to every story he tells.
“As a storyteller, I can teach, preach, bring joy and enlightenment…and that’s what I believe I’m called to do.”
